Clear Heatshrink

(Conforms to MIL-DTL-23053/5, Class 2)

Our heatshrink is made from irradiated polyolefin, with excellent performance in demanding environments. Useful for sealing and insulating wire connections, and for strain relief and wire identification. Highly flexible and thermally stable, with superior resistance to chemicals, solvents, and abrasion. Features a 2:1 shrink ratio for a good “recovered wall thickness” (or thickness after shrinkage) with minimal longitudinal shrinkage — preferable to “over-expanded” (4:1 ratio) thin-wall heatshrink. Rated at 600V @ 125°C. Operating temperature range of -55°C to 135°C.

Use your laser printer and word-processor to generate 6pt wire labels.  A 1-inch piece of clear S816C heatshrink over the label protects the tag yet allows it to be read.

3/32″ heatshrink works with 20 and 22AWG wires; 1/8″ material is used on 14 16 and 18AWG wires; 3/16″ on 10 and 12AWG wire; 1/4″ for 6 and 8AWG wire; and 3/8″ for 2 and 4AWG wire.
